Bayoxide® E33 dry, robust ferric oxide arsenic removal media was specifically designed with a high capacity for arsenic, providing long operating cycles and low operating costs. The Bayoxide media was designed with a high capacity for both arsenic (III) and arsenic (V).

The media also adsorbs antimony, cadmium, chromate, lead, molybdenum, selenium and vanadium.

The media’s life expectancy is dependent on site specific water quality and operating levels with change-out typically needed between nine and 36 months.

Media performance guarantees are available.

The exhausted arsenic removal media is non-hazardous and can be sent to a landfill, passing Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedures (TCLP). Arsenic adsorption capacity for Bayoxide media is not very pH sensitive. However, for alkaline waters — above an 8.3 pH — capacity can be significantly increased and operating costs reduced via pH adjustment of the feed water. Chemical consumption costs add only about 5-10% to operating costs in order to increase the Bayoxide media capacity and reduce media replacement costs by 40-80%

FLUORIDE

De Nora Water Technologies Fluoride Removal:

Fluoride, in dissolved form, can be found in well water sources for drinking water. High levels of fluoride can effect bone structure and lead to teeth discoloration.

The SORB 09™ fluoride removal system is a fixed-bed adsorption process for the removal of fluoride onto solid activated alumina.

The feedwater pH is reduced to 5.5 to allow for efficient fluoride adsorption and the process can treat fluoride concentrations up to 20 mg/L.

Treatment is conducted with a downward flow through two or more adsorption vessels and operated in a parallel flow configuration. The process is regenerative, using a weak caustic soda solution.

De Nora Water Technologies Coagulation/Filtration
The Omni-Flow™ arsenic removal system is offered in horizontal and vertical pressure vessel coagulation/filtration designs.

The Omni-Flow system incorporates our patented TETRA® LP™ Block dual parallel lateral under-drain to enhance hydraulic flow in these coagulation/filtration systems designs.

De Nora Water Technologies Nitrate Removal
Ground waters are more prone to nitrate contamination than river or lake waters.

Nitrates (NO3) are soluble molecules found in fertilizers and sewage that percolates through the ground and into aquifers. High nitrate levels cause methemoglobinemia, or Blue Baby Syndrome, which can be fatal to infants.

The SORB 07™ nitrate removal system is used to treat nitrate contamination in ground water supplies. The SORB 07 nitrate removal system treats a wide range of water qualities at capacities ranging from 100 to 3,000 GPM. The SORB 07 system features a smaller footprint and enhanced operation as compared to conventional ion exchange systems.

The SORB 07 nitrate removal system is an ion exchange process based on the DOWEX™ UPCORE™ technology. The UPCORE packed bed down-flow service and counter-flow regeneration process ensures consistent water quality.

SORB 07 is a regenerative process that extends the treatment life of the ion exchange resin. The system reduces the amount of regenerant by 50 75% per cubic foot of ion exchange resin in process.

HMS can fabricate Arsenic removal, Nitrate and Fluoride removal filtration systems for your specific small flow applications quickly and efficiently.
